The K-Business Administration major in the Department of International Business is a three-year program that allows students to study the Korean language and culture while building expertise in business administration. Program Objectives

  • Learning Korean Language and Culture: Gain proficiency in Korean and develop an understanding of Korea’s social and cultural background.
  • Acquiring Business Knowledge: Study both theory and practice in business administration to cultivate management skills applicable in the global business environment.
  • Enhancing Global Business Competence: Understand Korea’s business environment and develop the capacity to grow into professionals with a competitive edge in global business.
  • Developing Multicultural Management Strategies: Improve the ability to design effective management strategies by understanding diverse cultural backgrounds and global market dynamics.

Graduation Requirements

  • Enrollment for six semesters
  • Completion of required courses and a minimum of 30 credits
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Passing the comprehensive examination

1. Korean Language I

This course develops basic Korean expressions and conversational skills used in everyday life. Students will learn fundamental grammar and vocabulary and practice applying them in various real-life situations.

2. Korean Language II

Building on the foundation of Practical Korean I, this course enhances students’ ability to use Korean in more complex situations. It covers not only daily conversations but also practical Korean expressions used in workplace and social settings.

3. Principles of Business Administration

This course introduces the basic concepts and theories of business administration, including its history, principles, and the roles of various managerial activities. Students will study diverse management theories and build a foundation for analyzing business practices in real-world companies.

4. Business Statistics

This course covers statistical analysis methods for business decision-making. Students will acquire skills in data collection and analysis and learn statistical approaches to solve various problems encountered in business environments.

5. Marketing Management

This course introduces the fundamental concepts and strategies of marketing. Students will study consumer behavior, market research, and advertising strategies, and gain hands-on experience with marketing techniques. The course aims to cultivate the ability to design effective marketing strategies for businesses.

6. Financial Management

This course explores the theories and techniques of corporate financial management, including capital structure, investment decisions, and fund management. Students will develop skills in analyzing and managing a company’s financial condition.

7. Organizational Behavior

This course examines individual and group behavior within organizations and methods for managing them effectively. Topics include organizational culture, leadership, and motivation theories. Students will learn strategies for effective collaboration and performance improvement within organizations.

8. Business Strategy

This course focuses on strategic thinking and planning for achieving long-term corporate goals. It covers competitive analysis, market entry strategies, and growth strategies, aiming to strengthen students’ ability in strategic decision-making.

9. Management Information Systems

This course introduces information systems used in businesses and their roles. Students will study the impact of information technology on business operations and learn how to utilize it effectively in management practices.

10. Business Analytics

This course covers business analytics techniques for analyzing corporate data and supporting decision-making. Students will practice using data analysis tools and methods to solve business problems and enhance analytical skills necessary for strategic decision-making.
